Shanghai Pudong New Area NPI Foundation (“NPI Foundation”) was jointly established in 2015 by Shanghai Pudong Institute for Nonprofit Organizations and Shanghai NPI Social Innovation Development Center. In 2021, it was approved as a public fundraising foundation.
NPI Foundation has established philanthropic partnerships with more than 100 well-known companies and foundations in China and abroad. It has also pursued a range of innovative community-based practices and built a nationwide community philanthropy network. To date, it has supported more than one thousand social organizations, social enterprises and community changemakers, advancing the sustained, normalized and ecosystem-based development of community philanthropy.
